Tales from a Red Planet
18-Mar-2010 12:00
Work on Tales from a Red Planet, the next Xoo CD, is coming along nicely and growing into something of an epic...
The year is 2073. Mars has been terra-formed. There are colonies, there are cities, there is agriculture. There are frontier towns and there is freight and mining. But there are problems too. The same old issues are arising: pollution and Martian global warming, crime and social problems, psychological isolation and political unrest: home rule for Mars! The World Government is trying to pump out propaganda, to keep colonisation and investment going, maintain the Martin economy, maintain control of the political situation. But the ice caps are melting, people are unhappy and it all seems to be heading (literally and metaphorically) for meltdown!
Tales from a Red Planet - the new Xoo CD. Coming soon.

Review preview

Bad Acid magazine will be reviewing Poison In The Name Of Beauty in their next issue - a sneak preview of some of the comments...
"Hawkwind and Pink Floyd still shine like blazing suns within their universe. However, they do not wholly define it. Forget the sax, flute and audio generators. Guitars and synths shape their distinctly melodic and hook-laden songs. Even the choruses demand participation."
"Xoo has presented a promising and remarkably professional debut recording. Be sure to watch the skies because they may be playing a planet nearby. Please receive them with open arms and ears..."
